Our Story

I was raised in Arkansas and attended college there as well. After graduating, I headed farther down south to a city called New Orleans to start a new chapter in my life. Dental school led me there, but the people and the food had me coming back again and again. Like so many others, I fell in love with this crazy city.

My husband, Joey, made frequent trips to New Orleans to visit family since childhood years. One day while we were visiting the bayou, he said "Men and po'boys are like monkeys and bananas. We just go together. That's just the way it is...." After an awkward silence and a outburst of laughter, we decided that one day we would open a po'boy shop.

With the passion for cooking and the drive to connect Dallas with our favorite Cajun grub, we began fine tuning our recipes and sketching ideas for a restaurant. It had to be real. It had to be fast-casual, and it had to have N'awlins attitude. It had to be Wicked Po'Boys..
